Shutokō Battle Rival Database Wiki

Welcome to the Shutokō Battle Rival Database Wiki!

Progress report included below

This site is a collection of data from the Shutokō Battle series (the console titles released between 1999 and 2006), the Kaidō Battle Series, and Racing Battle: C1GP, all by Genki and Genki Racing Project.

Currently, this includes all 3334 rival profiles, connection net posts and emails from all 3 Kaidō Battle games and RB:C1GP, all paddock and parking area quotes from RB:C1GP, KB3, and SBX, all scouting quotes from SBP, all interlude dialogue from SBP and SBX, and all parking area information from SBX.

The English localizations of these games largely alter or shorten most of this info, and they were done by multiple companies, resulting in many inconsistencies. The goal of this wiki is to eventually offer more consistent profile translations. Some other users have copied a few profiles verbatim from the the English releases; this is acceptable for now, but will be removed during the translation stage of editing. Please add these to the English TXR wiki instead; they are still missing a lot of profiles.

Full rival car data (parts and settings) has also been extracted from the RAM of all 10 games. The original hex values are also available on Google Sheets. This data is exact, but not perfect; several rivals use locked color slots, settings on stock parts, parts on unmodifiable custom cars, unobtainable parts, and invalid part ID's. The only information that couldn't be found is car settings for SB01; even rivals loaded into battle indicated that all settings were default, even if they can use turbo boost.

With the exception of a couple of pages, this wiki is ONLY meant as a collection of information presented in-game or found in the game RAM, and is not meant for speculation, conclusions, or implications.

Only a few pages for the early SB1 rivals have been largely translated, as well as the hidden profile for the final boss of SB01.

After days of searching, I finally found the value that controls the strange render scaling that SB0 uses in its menus (method can be viewed here). The new screenshots look infinitely better than the previous set, and have all been uploaded. The last set that needs to be fixed is KB3; I still haven't been able to get rid of the car reflections.

Team stickers for KB1/2/3 and Lovers stickers for KB2 have been improved; they still aren't perfect, but I don't know anyone who has ripped the actual TIM2 files yet.

I've also made rough pages for the three legacy games on PS1 since they have a few characters that cross over.

Now that construction of the wiki is mostly complete, it's time to do translation. However, between being burnt out from working on this non-stop for several months and being generally busier irl, I haven't had much motivation.

Romanized names will not be added to the rival lists until the translation stage; this will be used to keep track of pages that have been completed.
